Maratona dles Dolomites in Alta Badia

A unique route of 175 Km comprising not less than 7 of the Dolomites' mountain passes; 166 brave cyclists with a lot of sportsmanship undertook the challenge: this was the beginning of the fascinating adventure of the Marathon of the Dolomites, which year after year attracted more and more people and meanwhile is one of the most important cycling events in Europe.
Since 2000 the number of participants at the Marathon of the Dolomites has been limited to 8,000. A rather small number considering the more than 15,000 requests for participation at the 2006 marathon. www.maratona.it
